In Year 1, children begin exploring Catholic identity through hands-on experiences – visiting their parish church, meeting local Christians, and discovering how the cross symbolises Jesus' love. They’ll also learn about Judaism, focusing on the Torah as a sacred guide and the Jewish belief in one God. Through stories, guest speakers, and inclusive resources (like the Jewish Museum London), pupils build respect for different faiths while deepening their understanding of their own Catholic community.
